Why the Black Edition finish lasts longer
The GeeTramp® Force Black Edition uses the same frame steel and same internal engineering as the standard GeeTramp Force. The difference is the finish. A galvanised base layer for corrosion protection, then a matte black powder coat over the top for an extra weather seal and a more deliberate aesthetic.
How the two-step finish works
- Step 1: galvanise. The steel is hot-dipped in zinc. The zinc coating bonds to the steel and protects it against rust from the inside out.
- Step 2: powder coat. A matte black powder coat is electrostatically applied and oven-cured over the galvanising. Even, durable, and chemically resistant.
Why powder coat beats paint
- The coat goes on evenly across the whole frame, including hard-to-reach corners.
- The colour holds up against UV and salt air longer than wet paint.
- Resistant to weather, chemicals and routine wear.
- A solid choice if you live near the coast or in an area with acidic soils.
How it has held up
The Black Edition has been in the range for several years. We've had no significant frame finish complaints from customers in that time, including in coastal locations. We expect it to outlast the springs and the mat (typical wear items) by a long margin.
Available across the rectangle range
The Black Edition finish is available across all six rectangle sizes, from the 4x4ft Mini to the 14x16ft Force XL. See the full range or talk to us about which size and finish fits your yard. Call 03 5292 1100 or use the contact page.
